The Client

Founded in Australia in 2004, the customer aimed at providing continuous open airway therapy and clinically proven diagnostic and treatment options for sleep-related breathing disorders such as sleep apnea and sleep bruxism. Their robust R&D department provides input on technology trends and serves as speakers for medical education programs. 

With no off-site Disaster Recovery solution, the client found themselves vulnerable to infrastructure failure.

Their Problem

When Cloud Native first scoped the project, the concept was simple in overall design but difficult to configure due to their existing environment. There were many technical limitations specific to the customer. Despite these limitations, Cloud Native was able to break these barriers and complete the solution. 

Cloud Native provided a fast, economical total solution including cloud and hosting infrastructure, brand and website design and development.

Our Solution

Cloud Hosting and Replication 

Built on the Azure platform using industry best practice and bespoke solutions to provide a significantly low RTO for fail over and failback. The solution allowed for all on-premise servers to go live within Microsoft Azure in the event their local infrastructure and backups were to completely fail. The solution had the ability to be live tested and demonstrated without interruption to production and services. A virtual Fortigate firewall was further introduced to provide network integrity, security and connectivity with the client’s existing SD-WAN environment. Advanced routing and networking techniques were implemented to prevent the disaster recovery environment from interfering with the existing customer’s subnets.
